Tim Waters, MS

Director of Advanced Cell Processing Lab

As Founding Director of our Advanced Cell Processing program, Tim is an industry leader in cell therapy platform and process innovation, and a fierce advocate for increasing access to new therapies. Prior to joining Bloodworks, Tim served as Associate Director of Process Development at Orchard Therapeutics, where he worked on hematopoetic stem cell gene therapies for rare diseases. His legacy while at Miltenyi Biotec includes being listed as an inventor on their patented Systems and Methods for Point/Center-of Care Immunotherapy.  Tim received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Wittenberg University and a Masters in Marine Biology from University of North Carolina – Wilmington.
