Human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs)
Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) are nucleated cells (monocytes, lymphocytes, dendritic cells, and progenitor cells) collected from peripheral blood by density gradient centrifugation.
All PBMCs come with a Certificate of Analysis, limited donor information, flow profile, and microscopic observations. PBMCs from TRIMA filters are subject to limited donor information and cannot be used for whole genome sequencing.
All cells are obtained using Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved consent forms and protocols.

Planning Ahead
Fresh PBMC orders must be submitted a minimum of one week prior to the requested delivery date.
Additional lead time may be required for custom concentrations or specific donor requests.
If there is a preference for cells from cord blood, please list in order notes.

PBMC are from apheresis product by density gradient centrifugation. Fresh, frozen, and fresh frozen are available. Final cell concentration, cryopreservation medium, and custom flow panels may all be requested here.
If you are interested in PBMC from whole blood or LRS chamber, you request starting material at time of order.
Donors are infectious disease tested annually and are free of Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV-1, and HIV-2. For more information, please contact us.
All cells are obtained using Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved consent forms and protocols and standard phlebotomy practices.

Cancellation Policy
Change orders and cancellation notices on all orders must be submitted to Bloodworks ([email protected]) and receive acknowledgement in writing and change orders must be mutually agreed upon. Cancellations of products in the following categories will result in the following fees:

All change fee and cancellation policies for special projects or indicated in Scope of Work documents supersede the above listed fees. Rescheduling subject to donor availability. Postponements or new requests with a rush requirement of less than 3 business days may be subject to an additional $100 rush fee.
